Today was my first visit to a Thomas Dux grocer, and now I wish I had gone sooner! So many products, different brands and lots of organic produce. I spent way more than I had planned, and I didn’t buy anywhere near as much as I wanted to!
Some of the products are a little more expensive than you would pay in a supermarket, but I think it’s worth paying extra for good quality, especially when it comes to food.
Some highlights of the goodies I bought are the Medjool Date coconut rolls, Fine Fettle sweet corn and paprika flats, Royal Blend rice mix with red rice and lentils, Bean Supreme roast red onion and parmeson vegetarian sausages and Bertagni pasta porcini mushroom and truffle triangles.
I was super happy to find some products in the Linda McCartney meat free range. I’m especially looking forward to trying their vegemince!
Another exciting buy was a block of Mainland vegetarian edam cheese. I had never heard of this before so it was a good little find.
I also bought a gorgeous Brasserie Bread sourdough soy and linseed loaf which smells amazing. You really can’t beat freshly baked bread.

Last but by no means least (who doesn’t love a sweet treat!), I bought a passionfruit, raspberry, pistachio and chocolate macaroon.
Now that I’ve discovered this fantastic market, I think I’ll make a monthly excursion of it!
