I’ve just returned from a relaxing few days on the South Coast of NSW with my sister Amy and my pooch. We rented a quaint house very close to the beach and although the weather wasn’t always on our side, we had a great time taking walks on the beach, watching movies and cooking up meals to share.
I’m told no trip to the South Coast is complete without a stop at The Famous Berry Donut Van. The title had me a little fooled – I was expecting all kinds of incredible iced, glazed and flavoured donuts. Alas, they only offer the classic hot cinnamon donut.
This may sound a little nerdy but I simply couldn’t go away without my blend-friend. And with so many goodies I wanted to make, I knew it would get a workout. Just like this choc mint smoothie afternoon snack.
On my recent visit to Perth I bought a vanilla pancake mix from the Margaret River Chocolate Company. The pancakes and the cinnamon and vanilla verjuice syrup accompanied by fresh strawberries made an excellent holiday breakfast.
Another simple treat was this choc banana ice cream with banana, almond milk, peanut butter and cinnamon. So easy and no sugar!
To set us off on our last day I made choc berry breakfast smoothies with coconut water, cacao, banana, blueberries, strawberries and mint. My smoothie addiction continues.
