I’m sure you all know by now how much I love to travel. It’s fascinating, addictive and I always learn so much. It’s not often I get the chance to lux it up so when I can swing it, I really appreciate a taste of the high life.
The building is architecturally beautiful – it looks like a long ship has been perched on top of three thick towers. With more than two and a half thousand hotel rooms, Marina Bay Sands is an enormous complex housing a casino, museum, theatres, restaurants and a shopping centre.
One of the biggest features of this striking hotel is up a staggering 55 storeys high. The impressive infinity pool – the world’s largest rooftop pool – overlooking Singapore is a must do.
Knowing it was unlikely that I’d be back for some time (or be able to afford another fancy stay for a while) I was determined to go for a dip. Once I was in the water it was actually quite nice (and dang cold when you get out!) I’m not particularly good with heights so I admit it did feel a bit odd being able to swim right up to the edge of the pool and look straight out at the city buildings.
It was a fabulously indulgent stay and one I’ll certainly remember for a long time.
Do tell friends, what is the fanciest place you’ve stayed at?
