In December last year I started sharing my thoughts each day in a journal. Twelve months later and I’m happy to report that I’m still at it, and I highly recommend you do it, too.
What got me started was being in the midst of an emotionally tough time, and I needed to download the many thoughts bubbling around in my mind. Once I got started and into a rhythm, it became really therapeutic.
Taking time out of each day to let loose and write everything down – from the menial to momentous – was something I looked forward to. Writing in a journal every day was a great way to unpack my thoughts and feelings.
Letting it all out reduced my anxiety and helped me sleep better at night.
