The My Monthly Loves link up is a regular feature where I share some things I’m digging on, and I invite y’all to do the same by joining in the link up.
Let’s go, June!
This month I splurged and bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner. I’ll admit, it’s quite a pricey purchase but it was on sale ($150 off) so I wasn’t too upset about parting with my hard-earned. As I share my home with pets and often have tumbleweeds of hair around the house I went for the Dyson V6 Animal. I’d only had cheap shitty machines before so I have to say, they really are as good as all the hype. It’s a nifty, cord-free vac that’s easy to use and empty. It’s certainly made quick and regular cleaning so much easier for me.
I’m a sucker for a good veg cookbook and I have quite the collection now. This one I couldn’t resist – because I’m a big supporter of all fantastic and heart wrenching work that Animals Australia do for animals in need. Instead of just getting straight into the recipes, the first part of Taste for Life has some great information about why to go veg, advice for those starting out on a veg journey, nutritional information and tips for cooking at home and eating out. The recipes are great (there’s 111 of them) and bookmarked a stack to try! Some of my favourite sections are On the Barbie, Comfort Food and Sweeten the Deal.
This week I went to a vegan baking and desserts workshop at MAKER in Sydney. The hands-on class, hosted by Annabelle from My Little Panda Kitchen (she makes a-ma-zing vegan cakes), was great for learning about creamy dairy-free buttercream icing, egg replacements and homemade shortcrust pastry. The cupcakes were super light and fluffy – I’m excited to give them a try at home and see if they turn out as moist and tasty!
And now friends, it’s over to you – what goodies are you loving this month? Share the love by adding your blog or Instagram link or leave a comment below.
