The My Monthly Loves link up is a regular feature where I share some things I’m digging on. You’re invite to join me by sharing your favourite goodies.
Let’s go, August!
1. Travel bag
I scored this rad Alife Design convertible bag for my birthday and it’s going to come in super handy for my travels. It’s a small and large cross-body or shoulder bag and you can remove the strap and fold into a clutch. It’s also water-resistant. It’s light and flat so won’t take up much room in the suitcase.
2. Dairy and egg free cooking
While visiting Perth early this month I found The Complete Guide to Even More Vegan Food Substitutions in a city bookstore. It’s a great reference book for cooking without dairy and egg, including tips on how to convert recipes, easy substitutes and loads of recipes. It’s a revised version, published five years after the original so it’s got lots extra information.
3. Designer scarf
In this awkward squinty selfie I’m showing off a flower vase scarf designed by my talented sister, Amy. The colours are great and it’s light and big – I’ve been wearing it every day. This beauty is selling online at Printed Village. The postage charge to Australia is a bummer (even though it arrived soon after ordering) so your best bet is to place an order with friends and split the cost.
4. Homemade jewellery
I think I may have found a new creative hobby. This month I went to a polymer clay jewellery workshop at Sew Make Create, run by designer Nadine Sharpe. It’s so satisfying creating your vision from a block of clay. I love how imperfect each piece I create is, fingerprints and all! Wearing a homemade necklace is a proud moment – guess what my loved ones are getting for Christmas!
And now friends, it’s over to you – what goodies are you loving this month? Share the love by adding your blog or Instagram link or leave a comment below.
