My sister Amy is a clever cook. She reads a lot of food magazines, recipe websites and blogs to find out about different products and get inspiration for meals (I should start doing that too!).
As a vegan, she doesn’t consume any animal products which sounds like it might be difficult to cater for, but it appears not! She always has delicious, healthy and fresh food in her home.
Here is a salad Amy made with fair trade red rice, which admittedly, at first glance I thought was finely cut bacon!
The gorgeous salad has red rice, tofu, broccoli, red capsicum, flaked almonds. It’s topped with a simple Asian dressing of rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic. Sounds super easy, right? It is!

this looks great – i love brocolli in salads – here is my recipe you might like to try!
(minus the pork meatballs featured in the recipe!)
