As I write this post I’m sitting at Sydney International Airport awaiting my departure for a relaxing two week break. That’s right friends, I’m about to embark on a glorious food tour of Vietnam. Will you miss me?
Since my first overseas trip way back in my late teens, the travel bug has led to quite a few countries, some more than once (USA, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei) and I’ve always wanted to visit Vietnam so I’m giddy with anticipation!
Some of the tour inclusions I’m really looking forward to are:
- A street eats and market tour and cooking class in Hanoi
- An overnight boat cruise in Halong Bay
- A herb garden bicycle tour and cooking class in Hoi An
- A cooking class and dinner in Ho Chi Minh City
- Homestay and traditional breakfast on the Mekong Delta
As well as meeting interesting people, I’m hoping to learn about Vietnam’s fascinating culture, their fresh local produce and how I can recreate light and healthy Vietnamese dishes at home.
As I move around I’m not sure how much internet connection I’ll come across so this is a heads up that I may not respond to comments and emails while I’m gone. I will try and post some pics on Instagram and Facebook so you can join me on my adventures.
Stay safe friends, I look forward to sharing lots of delicious fun with you on my return! x
